4. Email and other electronic communications
When you create an account, submit an application, or become a customer, we may send you electronic communications that are necessary to administer your application, account, loan, payments, security, or our relationship with you. These service communications are not marketing messages, and you may continue to receive them while they are needed to provide our services or meet our legal obligations.
We may also send newsletters, promotions, and information about our products or campaigns where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by applicable law. Consent to marketing is not a condition of applying for or receiving a loan. You may withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe method included in a message or by emailing info@aceofloans.com. We will process marketing unsubscribe requests within the period required by law.
Email service providers and processing outside Canada
We use specialized service providers to send and monitor email communications, validate email addresses, process delivery events, and maintain suppression records. These providers may process email addresses, message content, and delivery metadata outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States. Where required, we assess the privacy implications of transferring personal information outside Quebec and use contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the information. Withdrawing consent to marketing communications does not prevent us from sending necessary application, account, security, or legally required communications.
5. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and restricted internal access — to protect your data. Our instant bank verification process is designed so that your banking credentials are never stored by Ace of Loans directly.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate (such as verification and payment processors), or when required by law or regulation.
7. Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion of personal information that we are no longer required or permitted to retain. Some information may need to be retained to administer an active account or loan, complete a transaction, prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, or meet legal and regulatory recordkeeping obligations.
